Compassionate Counseling for Individuals, Couples, and Substance Use Evaluations

Life has a way of pulling us away from who we truly are. Anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, addiction, grief, and major life transitions can leave us feeling disconnected—from ourselves and from the people we love.

Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, understand the patterns that have shaped your life, and reconnect with your authentic self.

For more than 30 years, I’ve helped adults navigate life’s most challenging seasons with warmth, curiosity, and respect. Whether you’re seeking healing, greater self-understanding, healthier relationships, or freedom from substance use, we’ll work together at a pace that feels safe and meaningful.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

How I Can Help

Individual Therapy

Individual counseling for:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Life transitions
  • Men’s issues
  • Self-esteem
  • Spiritual exploration
  • Aging and later-life concerns
  • Developing a more authentic and fulfilling life

Couples & Relationship Counseling

Healthy relationships begin with understanding ourselves.

Whether you’re struggling with communication, rebuilding trust, navigating conflict, or simply feeling disconnected, therapy can help you create deeper understanding, emotional safety, and lasting connection.

Together we’ll learn new ways of communicating while also exploring the deeper emotional patterns that influence your relationships.

Substance Use Evaluations & ASAM Assessments

I provide professional substance use services including:

  • ASAM Assessments
  • Alcohol and drug evaluations
  • Court-ordered evaluations
  • Professional and workplace referrals
  • Treatment recommendations
  • Ongoing counseling for recovery

Evaluations are completed in a respectful, objective, and confidential manner. Every individual deserves to be treated with dignity rather than judgment.

My Approach

I believe symptoms are often invitations rather than problems to eliminate.

Rather than simply teaching coping skills, therapy can become a process of discovering the parts of yourself that have been overlooked, protected, or wounded.

My work integrates evidence-based counseling with mindfulness, somatic awareness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Hakomi, and compassionate self-exploration.

Together we’ll cultivate greater awareness, resilience, and a deeper connection to the person you were always meant to become.

Becoming Your Authentic Self

Many people spend years living according to expectations placed upon them by family, culture, trauma, or fear.

Authenticity isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about remembering who you were before life taught you to hide parts of yourself.

Therapy can help you:

  • Trust yourself again
  • Set healthy boundaries
  • Feel more emotionally grounded
  • Heal old wounds
  • Develop fulfilling relationships
  • Live with greater purpose and freedom

Healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about becoming more fully yourself.
